Nomad’s Land
When traveling to Mongolia with New Tribes Mission, I was surprised to see that so much of their population was nomadic. I had never seen so many people that didn’t have an established area to call their own. These people lived hand to mouth, traveling when the food or water went dry. The mission was to establish a community for these people so that they could grow crops, have shelter and water. We lived as they lived for several years, learning their language and culture. Besides providing them with sustainability, we taught them to read and write their own language and provided them with basic first aid.
