I love doing things for my grandchildren. I don’t know whether it’s because I wasn’t able to spend much time with my own children, or because I love seeing the smiles on their little faces, or a combination of both. But whatever the reason, I simply can’t resist spoiling them. This year, I gave them tickets to Disney World for Christmas. I got some 2010 Disney World discounts, so I was able to do it without breaking the bank. You should have seen the looks on their faces when they opened the envelopes and saw what was inside. It made me feel like a hero.  

I can’t wait until May. My mom will be coming out to attend my graduation! I still can’t believe four years of school went by so fast. She’s so proud of me. Every time I call her that’s all she can say to me. When she’s out here I want to show her around Fairfield. This will be the first time she’s been here since I’ve been away to school. I’m going to show her around campus and take her to this park I love to go to read. I’m also planning on taking her out to dinner at this amazing Peruvian restaurant. I’ve spent so much of my time and money there. No Ramen packets for me, I’m all about the cerviches. There are so many delicious things on the menu. I want to order them all so she can sample a little of everything!

It took us 36 hours in late December and if you have time, you should really consider the times. My husband and I stayed here while we were looking for our new house. He got a job here and we packed up everything and put it into storage while we looked. We loved this place. The montgomery extended stay hotel has everything that you need for long visits. We had a kitchen and that was incredible. Thanks to having this added features we saved money on eating out. I was also thrilled that each morning we could get up and have a complimentary hot breakfast. The huge buffet featured everything to get our day started on the right track. We spent six weeks here and it was perfect.

After I sold my last house, I had quite a bit of money left over, and I decided to take a well-deserved vacation.
